IGNOU MCA, BCA, CIT Practical Exam December 2022 session for SOCIS programmes to be conducted in Virtual/ Online Mode. Practical Exam:
The IGNOU’s Term End Practical Exam  for programme of SOCIS (School of Computer and Information Science) for Term End June 2022 session will be conducted in Virtual mode through web conferencing/video conferencing.  

• Student need not to visit study center / exam center to appear in exam.
• Date and  time of exam to be decided by the IGNOU Regional Center / Study Center.
• Students are advised to be in constant touch with their respective regional center.
• All eligible student who qualify the criteria to appear for practical exam can attend the exam.

Project Viva:
Project Viva for MCA , BCA is to be conducted in Virtual / Online Mode for TEE June 2022 Session.
The student who have already submitted the Project Report online/ offline for TEE June 2022 session and  are eligible for Viva can attend the same.

How is the List of Candidate is prepared for IGNOU PRACTICAL exam ?
The list of candidates, who has paid the practical exam fee ONLINE, is sent from IGNOU HQ to the exam centre /Regional Centre/ Study centres. As a next step another list of eligible candidate is prepared by the Regional Center / Study Center / Exam Center  based on the data received from IGNOU HQ . The list of candidate who has paid the exam fee and attended the minimum required % of  practical sessions at Study centre  are included in the above list. The list of such candidate with the column name like Exact Date, Question paper Set, and Timeslot etc is displayed by the Regional Centre / Study Centre / exam centre and the Regional website.

What is the duration of IGNOU Practical Exam ?
The time duration for practical examination is of 3 hours duration while some course has a time duration of 1.30 hours to 2 hours depending on the programme. Student need to check the question paper for exact duration of practical exam. 

A brief about IGNOU Practical course and Term End PRACTICAL Examination.

70% of attendance in practical counselling session is mandatory to be eligible to attend the term end practical exam. The practical session is held in the Labs of the Study Centres. 

No practical examinations in the non-lab courses. Practical examination is conducted in the lab courses only. The letter ‘L’ in the course code represents the lab course eg. BCSL32,  MJML-020, MSTL-001, MCSL-16 etc. Pass in each and every section in the practical course of Term End Practical Examination is compulsory to in order to declare it successful in the respective course.

Minimum 40% mark is required to pass the practical paper.

IGNOU has issued the instruction and guidelines for the conduct of  Term End Practical Exam for  June 2021 Session.   

After the conduct of Term End Theory Exam (TEE), IGNOU conducts Term End Practical exam for its student for practical oriented programmes such as MCA BCA PGDAST BSC BLIS etc.

Generally STUDY CENTER is the default practical exam center but sometimes the  study centres are clubbed and one or two study centre is selected as exam center for the practical exam. Identifying nodal practical exam center is totally based on the decision of Regional Center.

Generally IGNOU conducts term end practical exam in Offline mode but considering the pandemic situation in entire country, practical exam is being conducted in virtual mode.
