IGNOU Practical exam date sheet released. The list issued by SED contains the practical exam date for many programmes. The Term End theory exam Hall ticket can be used for IGNOU Practical exam. No separate hall ticket will be issued.

IGNOU Practical Exam Date December 2025 session Programme wise
Practical exam is conducted across the India in the same date and time. Notification contains the practical exam date for MSC(MACS), MSCIS, PGDIS, PGDAST, PGCGI, PGDGI, DBPOFA, CCITSK, DMOPM, BAPCH, BAG, MAPC, BLIS, BLISOL, MLIS, and ACISE Programme. Keep in touch with your RC for batch and timing of practical exam.

IGNOU Practical exam date intimation is sent by Email from Regional Center. The datesheet is also uploaded on website, social media twitter, facebook and instagram. Students are advised to be in touch with Regional Centre/ Study center / Exam centre and Website.

Student need apply and pay the IGNOU practical exam FEE ,for professional programmes which includes practical component such as MCA, BCA, MAPC, MSCDFSM , PDDAST, CIT, PGDIS, ETC, while submitting exam form Online.
The date of BLIS (BLIE- 227) Practical exam is already announced by SED. The exam date varies from Regional center to Regional center. IGNOU Practical Exam
IGNOU Practical Exam is a mechanism to assess the development of skill in the subject. Practical sessions are given to upgrade and enhance your theoretical skills and provide the hands on Experience in subject matter. The practical session is held in the Study Centres.
IGNOU Term End Practical is conducted after the end of theory exam. All ODL and OL programme student who has practical component in their study need to pass the practical exam. Practical exam will be conducted in OFFLINE mode for many programmes. Guidelines and modality to conduct practical exam has come from IGNOU HQ. Table given below contains information about the mode of practical exam for various programme.
IGNOU Practical Exam Attendance Criteria
As per criteria, minimum of 70 to 75% attendance in the practical sessions is compulsory to be eligible for practical exam. All eligible student who qualify the criteria to appear for practical exam can attend the exam.
IGNOU Project Viva date
The student who have already submitted the Project Report online/ offline for TEE June 2025 session and are eligible for Viva can attend the same. For the link and other details student may contact their Regional Centre.
IGNOU Practical Exam center - Important note
For ODL Learners STUDY CENTER is the default practical exam center but sometimes the study centres are clubbed and only one or two study centre is selected as exam center for the practical exam. Identifying nodal practical exam center is totally based on the decision of Regional Center.
For OL Mode learners modalities for practical exam and exam center is issued by concened school. Student need to chek the LMS Dashboard for practical exam update.
IGNOU Practical exam Candidate list Preparation
The list of candidates, who has paid the practical exam fee ONLINE, is sent from IGNOU HQ to the exam centre /Regional Centre/ Study centres. As a next step another list of eligible candidate is prepared by the Regional Center / Study Center / Exam Center based on the data received from IGNOU HQ . The list of candidate who has paid the exam fee and attended the minimum required % of practical sessions at Study centre are included in the above list. The list of such candidate with the column name like Exact Date, Question paper Set, and Timeslot etc is displayed by the Regional Centre / Study Centre / exam centre and the Regional website.
What is the duration of IGNOU Practical Exam ?
The time duration for practical examination is of 3 hours duration while some course has a time duration of 1.30 hours to 2 hours depending on the programme. Student need to check the question paper for exact duration of practical exam.
A brief about IGNOU Practical course and Term End PRACTICAL Examination.
70% of attendance in practical counselling session is mandatory to be eligible to attend the term end practical exam. The practical session is held in the Labs of the Study Centres.
No practical examinations in the non-lab courses. Practical examination is conducted in the lab courses only. The letter ‘L’ in the course code represents the lab course eg. BCSL232, MJML-020, MSTL-001, MCSL-16 etc. Pass in each and every section in the practical course of Term End Practical Examination is compulsory to in order to declare it successful in the respective course.
Minimum 40% mark is required to pass the practical paper.
