Once your admission is confirmed and IGNOU ID card is generated, your next worry is definitely about the IGNOU Study Material, starting the studies and attending the Academic Counselling sessions. How to check IGNOU Study Material dispatch status ?

IGNOU has made a provision to check the study material postal dispatch status online. Student can visit the website and check the status of their Study Material. Student need to select the Admission / Re-Registration session and then enter the Enrolment number. If Enrolment is not Not Found then student need to wait and can write to registrarmpdd@ignou.ac.in ,  datampdd@ignou.ac.in , mpdd@ignou.ac.in. Meanwhile you can refer the soft copy of study material. How to plan study without physical copy of Study materials ?

Delay in receipt of  IGNOU Study Material :

Since admissions are opened nearly for 4 months for each session in University , there may be delay in admission confirmation and distribution of the printed copy of the Study Material Hence if you have not received the physical copy of Study Material then you are advised to download the Soft Copy of Study Materials and give a START to your study instead of wasting time in waiting state. IGNOU has made provision to download the study materials for all programmes from its dedicated portal which is called eGyankosh. egyankosh is the repository of IGNOU STUDY MATERIAL which is available to public and there is not need of any type of account to downlaod the books in soft copy format.

Note: Your admission validity  begins  from 1^st Jan or 1^st July depending on your Admission session ( Click Here to know more about Admission session in IGNOU) even if you get admission confirmation after several weeks of your application is submitted. Further,waiting for the Hard copy Study material may kill your precious time and you may fall behind the schedule. IGNOU strictly conducts its Term End Exam (TEE) in June and Dec of Every year.
