IGNOU Exam (TEE) June and December writing and preparation Tips

IGNOU TEE stands for Term End Examination. IGNOU examination is conducted twice in a year. i.e June and December of Every year. IGNOU exam result contains the 70% of weightage while generating final grade card. IGNOU assignment contains 30% of weightage while calculating final result. So it very important to score well for the better percentage in the overall result.
It is advised to prepare well for the IGNOU exam and follow some important tips for preparation and writing exam given below, which may help you to fetch flying colours in the examination, because Once you pass the exam, you will not allowed to write the exam again for improvement of marks.

Follow these Tips for high marks (during preparation and term end examination).

  • While preparing for Examination, Go through the Short Answer Questions, Questions in your study Materials and Previous 3 Years/ 6 Session Question papers to score better.
  • Practicing previous questions help you to prepare for the exam and understanding about pattern of examination. Some Questions are repeated from the past years.
  • Most of the previous (exams) Q- answers you will get in IGNOU books itself, if you don't have a hard copy of books then download soft copy books from the website (egyankosh).
  • In the exam your handwriting should be clear and legible.
  • Keep pencil, scale, eraser etc, it may help to draw better diagrams and some extra pen.
  • Answer should be to the point and precise.
  • Write introduction and conclusion nicely.
  • Try to Draw the Diagrams for a better explanation.
  • Write your answers in Points and Headings and in your own words to avoid average marking.
  • IGNOU doesn't provide an extra Sheet; you will get one having 13 pages means 26 pages including both sides so write accordingly. Writing plenty of sheets won’t give your plenty of marks.
  • IGNOU Allows Calculator in Some Exams that you can check from previous year question paper.
  • Try to attempt all questions.

New Learner must understand that University gives admission to

  • Certificate Programme : which is 6 month duration
  • Diploma programme : which is 1 Year duration
  • PG Diploma Programme : which is 1 year Duration
  • Under graduate (UG) programme : which may SEMESTER or Yearly based.
  • PG Programme : which may SEMESTER or Yearly based

Who is eligible to apply for Term End Exam (TEE) and when  ?

Candidate who joined University for Jan 2021 Admission cycle and got admission confirmation in Jan/Feb/March/April/May 2021 should understand the following with clear concept:

  • All student of Certificate programme and Semester based Diploma, PG Diploma, UG and PG Programme is eligible to apply for exam for TEE June 2021 session.
  • Rest of student are eligible to apply for TEE Dec 2021 session.
  • Student must submit assignment to the study centre before applying exam form online.
  • Further it is to be noted:: for semester based programme student need to apply parallely for 2nd semester registration for which Re-registration (RR)  link opens in April/May/June for July Re-registration session. Students are allowed to register for the next semester without clearing the papers of previous semester. Read our ADMISSION MENU for better understanding of RE-registration (RR).
  • Note : The above illustration was based on the admission taken for Jan 2021 session similarly it may be calculated for further Admission cycle.

IGNOU TEE  is theory exam based on paper and pen.

  • Time duration is generally 2 to 3 hours based on course code. Refer top of Question paper for exact time duration .
  • The weightage of TEE is 70% and weightage of Assignment is 30% . Both these component is calculated to get exact percentage for the course code.
  • Hall ticket is generated generally 1 week before the commencement of exam.
  • Student must need to carry the Hall Ticket print out and IGNOU ID card to appear for IGNOU exam.
  • Exam date sheet or time table is made available on University website once the Exam form submission link opens or activated. There is 99.99 % chance that date sheet available on University website is final but some times because of some reason it may change hence the time table displayed on the Hall ticket is FINAL.
  • Any student who fails in some papers then s/he need to apply again in the next term exam. Exam fee once paid is non refundable and is not carry forwarded to the next cycle. Student who could not appear for exam need to apply again and pay the fee in the next TEE.
  • Presently Exam Fee per course code is Rs 150/- 

 

Student need to submit online exam form for appearing in the exam.
