IGNOU Assignment to be submitted before the last date to correct place depending on your programme type. IGNOU has two mode of students i.e. ODL (Open Distance Learning) and OL (Online) mode programme. Submitting assignment at right place is very important.
All ODL mode student need to submit assignment to the allocated Study Center. All OL (online) student need to submit assignment on LMS (Learning Management System) with the help of USER ID and PASSWORD given.
How to submit IGNOU Assignment ?
IGNOU assignment plays very important role in fetching good percentage of marks, so you should give attention to the assignment portion along with your theory exam. Assignment should be hand written.
After wring assignment answer attach cover page (Click here for cover page) on each of your assignment. Tie all the pages nicely to avoid any paper misplacement during evaluation at IGNOU Study center.
Submission method for ODL Students
You have to submit assignment to your study centre (Click here to know your IGNOU study center) before last date. You can submit IGNOU assignment in two ways.
- 1. By visiting to your study center in person and take submission receipt.
- 2. By post. In this case keep speed post tracking number safely for future reference.
Submission method for OL (Online) Students
- All IGNOU online mode (OL) learner need to submit handwritten scanned copy of assignment on LMS Portal. student can access their LMS dashboard using User ID and Password given to them.

Before submitting assignment make sure your cover page should have below mentioned details. Your correct
- Enrollment Number.
- Programme Code,
- Course Code/ Title,
- Name of student,
- Study Centre Code,
- Regional Center code and your Address.
Assignment to be submitted before the last date.
- Each assignment should be in separate file for better handling at study center to avoid misplace / lost of assignment.
- Due date and validity of an assignment is written on the assignment question paper.
- After submission ask for Acknowledgment for the same.
All student who are submitting assignment by post / courier / in-person should retain a photocopy of complete assignment and postal /courier tracking number MANDATORILY.
