IGNOU Exam Centre Change Online - Exam Decemebr 2025.

Change of IGNOU Exam centre is not permitted however, you may contact and request the Regional Centre (Under which Your new exam centres falls ) with a strong reason for the need to change of Your IGNOU Exam Centre December 2025 TEE Session. Change of exam centre is not permitted online, student need to request regional center offline (walk-in) or via email for the same. Some important guidelines for Change of IGNOU Exam Centre is given below.

Students must be very careful while choosing the exam centres at the time of applying for examination. Since most of the IGNOU learners are in-service employee and having transferable jobs. IGNOU has many learners in defense, Army Navy. and other public or private sector and as per their  job requirements they need to go on frequent transfers. For such kind of genuine cases University may facilitate such learners for change the exam centre.

Do We need to pay fee for Change of IGNOU Exam Centre ?
No. IGNOU does not charge any fee for change of exam centre.

Non inclusion of Course code in IGNOU EXAM HALL TICKET December 2025

IGNOU has migrated exam database to SMARTH Portal from June 2025 exam. Since this is latest development and hence lots of exam student are facing the missing of course code in exam hall ticket. In spite of paying the exam fee, course codes are missing the hall ticket . For such issues student need to send email to preexam@ignou.ac.in , registrarsed@ignou.ac.in with all the detail in the email. Student need to attach the acknowledgment of submission of June  2025 exam form and payment details.

Student can approach / email to the concerned Regional center  from 20 November 2025  onward for IGNOU exam centre change with a email copy to registrarsed@ignou.ac.in & preexam@ignou.ac.in . Student can also request for Course Code addition / change in exam form (if forgot while submitting exam form). The change of Exam Centre request within Delhi NCR & within Jammu city will not be permitted.

Forgot to apply for IGNOU exam online ?

Some students who could not apply for exam online can visit the RC where they need to pay of Rs.1100/- (Late Fee)  plus Rs. 200/- per course exam fee. The supplementary hall ticket for fresh exam form/ addition of courses will be issued by RCs after verification of availability of question paper and seat availability. 

Please note:  The facility is extended for emergency cases with proper justification.

Change of IGNOU Exam Centre explained with example : If any student who has Selected examination center under Regional Center Bhopal and now s/he want to change exam center and write exam in other place like Mumbai. Then candidate need to contact Regional Center Mumbai. Similarly student can approach the respective Regioanl Center as per their new exam center City/ Place/ Jurisdiction. Based on the merit of request Regional  centre may change his or her exam centre subject to the availability of questions paper in that region or Exam Center.

Online Change of IGNOU Exam center  facility was provided during pandemic to student only once for December 2021 session because of postponment of exam from January to March. For any kind of exam center change you need to visit the conrned Regional Center under which your new exam center falls. 

How to add course code in existing IGNOU Hall Ticket  for submit offline exam form ?

If you forgot to apply for any paper while submitting exam form online then to add a course code in the existing hall ticket you need to contact and request Regional Center ( under which your exam centre falls), IGNOU may charge you Rs 200/- per paper for addition of course code, if the question paper is available in that exam center. Writing few exam paper at one exam center and few at other exam center is not allowed in the same session.

 

Selected wrong subject code by mistake in IGNOU exam form ?

It is seen that many student select wrong course code while filling the form. For example While filling the form mistakenly they fill MSO04 instead of MSOE04 or as the case may be. So it is advised to be careful while selecting the course code from drop menu. University is not responsible for such errors. However, University facilitate up to maximum extent to rectify the error and help the distance Learners.
In such cases you need to visit the Regional Centre (under which your exam centre fall in). You may need to pay Rs 200/- per paper for addition/ rectification of new course code in hall ticket. The supplement hall ticket will be generated by Regional Centre.

► Change of exam centre facility is just a request and not the right of the student.
