How to collect IGNOU Degree Certificate 

IGNOU student often not aware about how to collect or get the convocation degree certificate. This is the reason lots of convocation degree are unclaimed at IGNOU regional center. Tracing the degree certificate has been made easy by the IGNOU IDMS portal. 

It is seen that many learner do not apply and pay IGNOU Convocation fee on time and later after several months or year they try to procure the IGNOU convocation degree certificate. Such student can receive the degree in two ways.

Methods to collect IGNOU Convocation Degree

1. Receive Degree By Post

To receive IGNOU degree by post, just apply online on IDDMS (IGNOU Degree Delivery Management System). Click on "New Registration" and upload the required documents at IGNOU IDMS Portal and submit online form. After form submission and payment of Fee, your certificate will be dispatched by the Concerned Regional Center to your address within a month time.

2. Received Degree in Person

As a second method, you can personally visit the Regional center and pay the fee either By DD or Via IGNOU Online Payment of Miscellaneous Fees. This way you can collect the degree certificate in person, hand to hand.

Answer : Student eligible under IGNOU Convocation 20th to 38th can check the status of degree online on the IGNOU Degree Delivery management portal (IDDMS). Student need to first create account on the portal, then they can login again in the account.  It will show you the address of RC where you degree is lying. Also you must know that HQ and Regional center has given the complete list of unclaimed Convocation certificate on the official website. Such student can visit the website check the availability of their ENROLLMENT NUMBER  and then they can approach the concerned Regional Center.

Learner must know that :

• IGNOU opens the link to apply for convocation well in advance before its convocation day. Click here for convocation application process and link.
• Candidate need to apply for convocation degree online from official website.
• Convocation fee is Rs 600. Fee to be paid online. Fee is subject to revise time to time.
• Student has option to procure degree in PRESENCE or ABSENTIA.
• Students are communicated by RCs to attend the convocation ceremony.
• Convocation is celebrated same day across all the Regional Center and HQ.
• To collect the degree in PRESENCE student need to carry IGNOU ID card.
• Student who could not apply and pay fee online need to visit the Regional centre concerned and pay the Fee in the form of Demand Draft in favour of IGNOU.
• For all Fee Paid students, if student could not collect the degree in person , the University send the degree by Post to the students after the Convocation ceremony.

How to issue Duplicate IGNOU Degree Certificate ?

A duplicate degree certificate can be issued after a request is made on the prescribed form along with a demand draft of Rs. 750 in favour of IGNOU, New Delhi. The following documents are required to be attached with the requests for issue of duplicate degree certificate:

• Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- .
• Copy of FIR lodged with the police station regarding loss of Degree, Certificate.
• Demand Draft/IPO for requisite fee.
