Scholarship for IGNOU students of SC /ST categories - New Admisison and Re-registration (RR) under January 2025 session.
IGNOU has issued notification for Scheme of fee support to the IGNOU students of SC/ ST categories. IGNOU seeking fresh admission and re-registration (RR) for January 2025 admission cycle can avail this scholarship. This can be availed from National Scholarship portal of the Government of India - https://scholarships.gov.in/
As per notification For admission of Fresh SC / ST Students
The benefits of the fee waiver scheme have been extended to 3 Programmes namely Bachelor of Arts (BAM), Bachelor of Commerce (BCOMF) and Bachelor of Science (BSCM) for January 2025 admission cycle.
The income of parents/guardians of fresh applicants from all sources should not exceed 2.5 lakh during the last financial year as per Government of India norms. Fresh applicants should submit income certificate issued by the authority as decided by the respective State Government.
DEB-ID is mandatory.
SC/ST students availing fee waiver shall be required to pay the non-refundable Registration fee of Rs 300/- for admission in January 2025 cycle.
A Development Fee of Rs 200/- will also be charged from SC/ST students who will be availing fee waiver for admission in January 2025 Cycle as per recommendations.
As per notification For Re-registration (RR) students
SC/ST students who were given exemption of fee during fresh admission shall be eligible for exemption of fee while re-registering in January 2025 cycle. The students who are not opting for fee exemption may avail the benefits of Social Welfare schemes provided by the respective State
Governments/Central Government.
