IGNOU Assignment last date - avoid confusion and ambiguity for June 2026.
Last date of IGNOU assignment submission has created lots of ambiguity and distress among the students. Students are finding various last date of assignment submission under June 2026.
First of all student should be aware that Assignment last date is NOT PROGRAMME SPECIFIC. The last date is same for all the student of ODL and OL (online) Programmes for new and existing students.
Student may find different last date for different assignment Programme / course code.
For example we have given direct links to check the assignment last dates written on the question papers. You may check the different different last dates on assignment papers.
- MCOM (See Page 2) , MCOM-BPCG (See Page- 2), MCOMFT (See page 2) Student may find their assignment last date as 15 March 2026.
- MPS (See page - 2) students may find their assignment last date as 31 March 2026.
- MCA, MCA_NEW (See Page - 2) and its variant may find their assignment last date as 15 April 2026
- MBA, MBAOL, MBF, MBAFM, MBAHM etc (See Page - 1) may find their assignment last date as 30 April 2026.
With reference to above examples, student from various stream / Progammme may find different date for assignment submission. But, it should be noted that Assignment last date in neither Programme Specific nor Course code specific. To avoid such confusion IGNOU issues Notification every year in the first week of April, regarding extension of last date.
IGNOU has an Academic Calendar and it operates according to the calendar. As per IGNOU calendar the last date to submit assignment is 30 April 2026. This date is subject of further extension if decided by Competent Authority. Any extension of last is notified via official notification from Student Evakuation Divison (SED).
Assignment submission has already began from 1st March 2026. Student can submit assignment any time before last. ODL Programme student need to submit assignment at Study center. OL (online) Programme student need to submit assignment at LMS Portal.
